Docklands karting has arrived.

The brand new London Indoor karting and Conference venue in London Docklands is due to open in December 2006 and the good news is the new Raceway venue can be officially and exclusively booked, right now, in advance, through the event team at www.gokarting.co.uk. This Greenwich Docklands facility offers fantastic Corporate entertainment for Canary Wharf and City workers, as well as local companies and groups. The venue has been especially designed to offer a separate go kart track as well as a separate Conference, bar and restaurant facility.

Clients are welcome to hold a Conference, hold a race event or have the best of both worlds and combine the two. What an ideal way to attract potential clients to your London Product Launch - let them race safely on powerful go karts against each other after your meeting! The exclusive bar is also available, should you wish to celebrate.

Throughout the unique London Conference venue the design is modern and comfortable which ensures your visit will be a memorable one.

When you do take the wheel you will be racing a 10bhp high specification kart. The fleet is powered by low polluting LPG. At this brand new track, special thought has been used to design the circuit to accommodate up to 30 drivers at any one time – which maximizes your competition and makes your go karting experience that much more enjoyable.

The Surbiton Raceway near Tolworth in Surrey continues to be a popular raceway for Stag and Hen parties.  One particular client, Tom, has had the dubious privilege of organising two Stag parties.  On both occasions Tom decided to go karting at the raceway.  Toms photographic evidence proves virtually anyone can win a trophy – irrespective of their attire or Bad Boy looks.  In this instance we insisted he remove the high heels before racing!  The emphasis is upon fun so why not give it a try.

Although it may seem a little way a way it is only a reasonable, worthwhile journey, just outside Greater London.  As long as you have 8 or more drivers you can race exclusively and individually in a Endurance type race format.  If your group get to 16 or more you can race in a Heats, Semi Final and Final type contest.  So if you want to make your Bride or Grooms day, the go karting circuit near Tolworth, Surrey is a great way to start your memorable celebrations – we don’t always recommend the collection of photographic material as it may, one day, end up on the internet.

Its been a great month for karting.  Outdoor tracks have been the busiest but the Great British weather has not helped all the UK karters themselves.
Most recently a group racing at the Thurrock Essex karting circuit decided heavy rainfall shouldn’t slow them down one bit.  You can picture the scene - 25 twin engine karts with 320cc attempting 60mph on slicks, in the torrential rain.  What fun!!!  We have never seen the race marshalls so tired after continually lifting karts away from the tyre walls and the in field.  From the Pit Lane the Race Director had to pass on his observations to a number of the enthusiastic karters and quite quickly everyones racing style improved - it had too.
Speaking of Thurrock, the Open kart races here offer great value for money and if you have got £45 to £50 spare and you have some friends who want a karting experience they should give this option a try.  You never know, one visit to the Thurrock go karting track, and you might get hooked.  It is a good way of meeting people and it could become a brand new hobby for you and your friends.  Apart from anything else you might also get free driving advise.
